About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Transaction Management platform
Work independently to develop, test, and debug software enhancements and solutions
Handle projects and initiatives independently
Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications, and projects using cloud computing, Java, or related languages
Lead and mentor teams across different geographical locations
Write unit and automation tests
Participate in code reviews
Participate in Agile development using Scrum, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs and developing solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

13+ years of commercial software development experience
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
Experience developing multi-tier solutions
Experience with microservices architecture and cloud computing
Professional Java development experience, including core Java and multithreading
Excellent Java n-tier application experience
Programming skills and JVM languages
Cloud computing experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Azure/AWS
Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices
Experience with Oracle or other relational databases
Experience leading mid- to large-scale development teams
Experience working with Agile development methodology
Ability to understand business requirements and develop solutions
Ability to work onsite 3 days a week and remotely 1 day a week
Availability during standard business hours aligned to project and stakeholder needs (8am to 5pm)
