About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, enhance, and maintain the Transaction Management platform
Lead a global distributed software development team
Independently develop, test, and debug software enhancements and solutions
Handle projects and initiatives independently
Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications, and projects using cloud computing, Java, or related software engineering languages
Lead and mentor teams across different geographical locations
Write unit and automation tests
Participate in code reviews
Follow Agile software development and Scrum methodology, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs and developing solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

13+ years of commercial software development experience
Proficiency developing multi-tier solutions
Excellent Java n-tier application experience
Programming skills
JVM languages
Cloud computing
Kubernetes, Kafka, Azure/AWS
Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices
Oracle or other relational databases
Experience in microservices architecture
Understanding of cloud computing
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
Professional Java development experience, including core Java and multithreading
Experience working with Agile development methodology desired
Experience leading mid- to large-scale development teams
Ability to understand business requirements and develop solutions
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly responsible
Strong desire to learn and adapt to various situations
Excellent leadership qualities
Ability to work onsite 3 days a week in the office and one day remotely
Availability during standard business hours aligned to project and stakeholder needs (8am to 5pm)
