About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement and enforce security configuration best practices
Establish secure baseline configurations for State Street ITAM assets
Deliver project tasks through completion and provide technical project support
Complete high-quality, documented deliverables within target timeframes and support operational transition
Develop custom solutions using Chef InSpec and shell scripting for hardening and monitoring non-standard systems
Conduct NIST-framework risk assessments for critical assets
Develop security guidelines, policies, and procedures for the Secure Configuration framework
Collaborate with engineers to promote software and platform configuration best practices
Design solutions with monitoring, auditing, reliability, and security at their core
Evaluate and recommend new technologies
Work with stakeholders and teaming partners throughout the systems implementation lifecycle
Understand enterprise requirements and develop holistic technical solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related field with 10+ years of relevant professional experience
Deep experience with cloud DevOps tooling and container-native systems
Ability to work with and build tooling in multi/hybrid-cloud environments
Experience with modern CI/CD, IaC, DataOps, and DevSecOps practices
Experience working with or developing Kubernetes autoscaling tools
Deep experience with container and cloud security principles
Experience applying STIGs, IAVAs, and CIS hardening guidelines
Experience maintaining and updating security documentation and systems security plans
Security+ or another cybersecurity or network security certification
Experience with Ansible, Chef, or Terraform
Experience with Python, Perl, or other common programming languages
Proven technical solutioning experience with Agile Development, DevOps, System Hardening, DevSecOps, and Cybersecurity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage several projects or priorities simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of personnel
Ability to work from the base office location 4 days per week
Standard business hours with flexibility to support global stakeholders across multiple time zones
