About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain the Transaction Management platform as a member of an agile scrum team
  • Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications, and projects using cloud computing, Java, or related software engineering languages
  • Work independently to develop and test software enhancements and solutions
  • Write unit and automation tests
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs and developing solutions
  • Collaborate with multiple teams in various locations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of commercial software development experience
  • Proficient in developing complex Java and UI solutions
  • Experience with Java technologies, ReactJS, AngularJS, and SQL development
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and object-oriented programming using Java
  • Basic understanding of messaging platforms such as Kafka and MQ
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Professional Java development experience, including Core Java and multithreading
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodology is desired
  • Experience with XML/JSON object structures
  • Hands-on experience with development IDEs such as Eclipse
  • Experience debugging code, deploying, and testing local projects
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills in an agile environment
  • Ability to work onsite 3 days per week and remotely 1 day per week
  • Ability to work standard business hours aligned to project and stakeholder needs (8am to 5pm)
