About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end Transition Management technology platform, covering execution, workflow orchestration, and post-trade processes
- Define and execute the platform roadmap aligned to business growth, scale, and operational efficiency goals
- Drive modernization toward cloud-native, API-first architectures
- Lead proactive monitoring, observability, and automation to minimize production incidents and manual interventions
- Deliver and enhance TM capabilities, including trade execution, cost modeling, analytics, and reporting
- Support multi-asset workflows across equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives
- Partner with business stakeholders to improve execution efficiency, cost transparency, and client outcomes
- Ensure adherence to operational risk, controls, and compliance standards
- Automate manual TM workflows to reduce operational risk and increase throughput
- Leverage data platforms and advanced analytics to improve decision support and execution quality
- Champion emerging technologies such as GenAI where they provide measurable business value
- Lead and mentor a global engineering and analyst team
- Build a culture of accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Manage delivery across multiple initiatives aligned with business priorities and timelines
- Establish KPIs for platform performance, stability, and business outcomes
- Report platform health and risks to senior leadership at CIO/COO level
- Manage key vendor relationships and ensure service quality and integration performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of experience in front-office technology and trading platforms
- Proven leadership in mission-critical platform engineering and operations within asset management or investment banking
- Strong understanding of trading workflows and execution processes
- Experience driving platform reliability, scalability, and operational risk reduction
- Expertise in cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead global teams and cross-functional delivery
- Experience supporting trading and Transition Management platforms preferred
- Strong background in observability, SRE, and platform engineering models preferred
- Familiarity with data platforms, analytics, and automation frameworks preferred
