About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across web applications and APIs
- Create reusable test cases and test plans from requirements and acceptance criteria
- Validate tickets and acceptance criteria before completion
- Investigate, reproduce, and document reported bugs
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing
- Support release verification and post-deployment smoke testing
- Use SQL to set up, investigate, and validate test data
- Gain hands-on experience with automated testing using Playwright and TypeScript
- Maintain and expand automated end-to-end and integration test coverage
- Identify manual regression scenarios suitable for automation
- Investigate automated test failures
- Follow established automation patterns and take on increasing responsibility
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and QA team members
- Communicate testing status, risks, blockers, and quality concerns
- Contribute ideas to improve testing processes and share testing knowledge
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of hands-on software QA experience, ideally in a product or SaaS environment
- Solid understanding of manual testing fundamentals, including test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and defect reporting
- Exposure to a test automation framework such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar
- Willingness and ability to learn automation
- Basic familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or another programming language
- Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Insomnia, or similar
- Basic SQL skills and understanding of queries for test data
- Familiarity with Git and basic branching/version-control concepts
- Experience with Jira or an equivalent ticket-driven development tool
- Strong attention to detail and curiosity about how things work
- Willingness to ask questions, investigate problems, and learn from others
