About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote the relationship between the Club and existing Members for which the Claims team is responsible
- Handle assigned claims in accordance with company procedures
- Provide advice on claims-related issues and identify the need for loss prevention activity
- Promptly and correctly file electronic correspondence relating to assigned claim files
- Maintain and update electronic claim files
- Contribute to the continuous development of company procedures and systems
- Produce relevant articles for Club publications
- Support Syndicate Underwriting objectives
- Participate in meetings and engagements with service providers, Club correspondents, lawyers, and brokers
- Attend appropriate training and develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Carry out other duties and ad hoc tasks within the scope of the role
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent
- Demonstrable basic knowledge and understanding of P&I insurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiating, presenting, and reporting
- Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships at all levels, internally and externally
- Highly organised, motivated, and enthusiastic, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to deliver high-quality work within agreed timeframes and prioritise individual workload
- Proactive and able to use own initiative
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
