About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver the full range of consultancy work
  • Develop consultancy skills through on-the-job learning and a structured development and mentoring programme
  • Collaborate with industry experts to address complex problems across Steer’s operating sectors
  • Participate in formal classroom training and induction sessions
  • Rotate across practices to broaden knowledge, skills and experience
  • Develop industry knowledge, core consultancy skills, technical training, project management and key business skills
  • Take part in onboarding activities and personal development planning
  • Learn about Steer, its work and culture
  • Work with senior colleagues through mentoring
  • Engage with a dedicated buddy during onboarding
  • Receive career coaching and progression support from a career development manager and programme sponsor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Educated to degree level; all subjects considered
  • Preferably a quantification or research element included, although this isn’t essential
  • Open to students of all academic disciplines
  • Particular interest in Geography, Transport, Mathematics, Statistics, Design, Engineering, Economics, Politics and related fields
  • Good academic background
  • Strong people and organisation skills
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Motivated individuals passionate about driving change
  • Ability to complete a CV, online application form and brief assessments
  • Assessment tests must be completed by 23:59pm on Thursday 22 October
  • Applicants must submit their own work and may not use AI, outside assistance or another person’s help during assessments
