About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take ownership of production across the game
  • Lead and develop a team of Producers
  • Drive team wellbeing, production processes, and pipelines
  • Champion the creative vision and align it with overall project goals
  • Mentor and support Producers on best practices, workload, and career development
  • Provide market expertise and competitive title critiques
  • Own the end-to-end production pipeline strategy
  • Align teams across multiple workstreams and allocate resources effectively
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers on game features and execution plans
  • Oversee daily stand-ups and track progress
  • Define milestones, expectations, and deadlines
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and progress reports
  • Identify risks and establish mitigation strategies
  • Serve as primary production contact for senior leadership, external partners, publishers, and stakeholders
  • Facilitate sprint planning and reviews and ensure Agile processes are followed
  • Monitor and analyse project metrics to improve development processes
  • Own project budget and resourcing decisions with leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience as a Lead Producer (or equivalent), having shipped multiple full game lifecycles, ideally on AAA titles
  • Strong background in game production, project management, or developer management within the games industry
  • Solid understanding of game development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
  • Strong people management and relationship-building skills, with experience in client-facing roles and external meetings
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching or line-managing other Producers
  • Experience owning production budgets and resourcing decisions
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape and current game titles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and align teams across departments
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong creative instincts and passion for the gaming landscape
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, and Monday
  • Familiarity with game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine
  • Experience managing hybrid working teams or projects is a bonus
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership or publisher partners is a bonus
