About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead delivery of the TechFirst technology education programme across London
  • Translate national programme strategy into effective regional delivery
  • Provide operational leadership across a large team
  • Oversee regional planning, performance, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and reporting
  • Ensure the programme achieves ambitious targets and government expectations
  • Deliver high-quality technology experiences and measurable outcomes for young people
  • Work with schools, employers, partners, regional delivery teams, national colleagues, and external partners
  • Lead continuous improvement and maintain alignment with programme objectives
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and drive performance
  • Report to the Head of Skills & Partner Engagement
  • Undertake regular travel across London and occasional national travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience leading complex programmes within education, skills, careers, youth engagement, or related sectors
  • Strong programme management, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing performance against targets
  • Experience reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Experience building productive relationships across diverse partner networks
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with effective operational delivery
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for improving opportunities for young people
  • Willingness to undertake regular travel across London and occasional national travel
  • Up-to-date CV
  • Covering letter of no more than the equivalent of 2 sides of A4
