About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage client settlement payments
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Verify payment instructions and process client settlement payments
- Review Client Settlement Distribution Agreements
- Conduct audits of payments made and attorney fee splits
- Assist the Settlement Accounting team as needed
- File and maintain accounting documents
- Handle internal and external inquiries concerning client payments
- Perform additional duties to support the accounting department
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and QuickBooks
- 1+ years of general accounting experience or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, or Economics
- Law firm experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent administrative, written, and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive and enthusiastic team player
- Full-time, in-office availability
