About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with retail leadership and cross-divisional teams to grow the retail channel and create meaningful customer and employee experiences
- Hire new Store Managers when needed and guide quality onboarding processes
- Support retail hiring needs within store teams in collaboration with Store Managers and HR
- Connect consistently with teams and support their projects and progress
- Own budget management, including Store Manager business acumen, individual stores’ EBITDA, annual budget planning and monthly reforecast processes
- Participate in capital expense and assortment planning proposals
- Support local retail marketing planning and initiatives
- Support retail KPI progress and develop teams that create memorable Mountain Studio experiences
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly operations accountability and process-improvement updates
- Support new store openings and physical inventory counts
- Facilitate Sendback TOs with the Planning team and NRI for assigned stores
- Facilitate cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts for assigned stores
- Develop and launch retail-channel initiatives such as training programs, incentive programs and succession plans
- Collaborate with the Retail Director, Store Managers, teams, Planning and Finance stakeholders
- Report to the Retail Senior Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with subsequent experience in retail leadership required
- 8+ years of relevant experience including multi-unit leadership and/or responsibility over $12M+ in retail volume and budget ownership required
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
- Experience in Asana or similar project management platform preferred
- Effective communicator and collaborator, with an ability to clearly articulate support needs and summarize high level progress updates across key stakeholders
- Able to work independently and collaborate cross-divisionally as needed
- Excited to jump in wherever needed and to adjust to growing needs of our team as this role evolves and we add more Mountain Studios
- Able to travel up to 40% annually
- Required location based in Denver, Colorado (CO mountain town acceptable) or near Boston, Massachusetts
- When supporting on-site, must be able to move around the retail space, move upwards of 50lbs, and occasionally traverse ladders
