About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interact with internal and external customers on technical and programme matters
Develop new methodologies and conduct CFD analyses to a consistently high standard
Acclimatise to current projects and progress ongoing tasks using existing methodologies
Prepare and present technical reports and proposals
Support preparation of project management planning documentation, including quality and technical plans
Maintain project documentation in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System
Manage multiple tasks and deliver within agreed timescales
Interact with engineers and customers on technical and project matters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experienced in aircraft OML design activities (within industry)
Highly proficient in CFD modelling with ANSYS toolsets including SPACECLAIM, DISCOVERY and FLUENT
Experience with steady and unsteady external aerodynamic flows of civil and/or military aircraft
Extensive hands-on experience in low-speed, subsonic, and transonic regimes, including performance optimisation
Candidates will ideally be degree qualified (or equivalent), in a related discipline
Familiarity with requirements, generation and use of aerodynamic CFD data for certification purposes
Experience in analysis of aircraft performance, stability and control, and flight dynamics would be beneficial
Programming language experience for HPC and automation of ANSYS CFD tasks is desirable
Self-motivated and able to proactively problem-solve independently
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Working efficiently and accurately, with attention to detail and discipline to self-check results
Good interpersonal and organisational skills, including record keeping
Able to act in a customer-facing position
Ideal candidate will hold UK citizenship
