About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct compliance audits and due diligence reviews of target companies in the context of M&A and Capital Markets transactions
- Analyze policies, compliance programs, internal controls, relevant processes, and documentation of audited companies
- Assess compliance-related risks and areas requiring attention
- Prepare background checks on companies, partners, and directors
- Prepare Q&As, reports, and presentations outlining the audit findings and identified risks
- Participate in meetings with clients and counterparties to discuss relevant audit matters
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with audits or due diligence reviews in M&A and Capital Markets transactions (a plus)
- Experience in Compliance and Corporate Criminal Law (a plus)
- Specialized training or postgraduate coursework in Compliance (a plus)
