About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide professional, high-quality customer service by responding promptly to client calls, written requests, and inquiries
- Manage a renewal book of business with a focus on client retention, cross-selling, and account rounding
- Assist producers with completing applications, preparing new business and renewal quotes, and managing submissions
- Process policy transactions including renewals, endorsements, certificates, billing, audits, and rewrites
- Maintain accurate records in the Applied agency management system and follow established workflows and procedures
- Build and maintain relationships with carrier partners and team members
- Review policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy before delivery to clients
- Market, quote, and bind coverage for new and renewal accounts, including smaller renewals independently
- Advise clients on coverages, answer policy questions, and identify opportunities to expand coverage or fill gaps
- Support claims by notifying carriers, following up on outstanding claims, and assisting with resolution
- Conduct client and carrier meetings when requested
- Maintain required continuing education, including construction-related courses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial lines account management
- At least 3 of the last 5 years in an account manager role
- Strong background working with contractors, including reviewing contract insurance requirements and issuing certificates
- Active Property & Casualty license in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
- Experience with non-admitted markets
- Knowledge of carrier websites and online quoting systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation, professionalism, and ability to build relationships
- Effective time management and organizational skills with ability to balance multiple priorities
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and detail-focused
- Willingness to complete continuing education courses, including construction-related courses
- CRIS designation preferred
