  • Lead complex projects, transactions and strategic initiatives

  • Lead business development activities, including networking, thought leadership, marketing, seminars, workshops, pitches and tenders
  • Identify new markets, service lines, opportunities and innovative client solutions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Maintain high standards of client service and technical excellence
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and professional standards
  • Keep abreast of legal, regulatory and market developments through continuous professional development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified Solicitor
  • Relevant experience working on corporate or education M&A transactions
  • Interest in Education law and Independent Schools
  • Experience supervising and developing other team members
  • Previous experience of proactive business development and marketing
  • Ability to demonstrate generation of new revenue streams
  • Ability to promote the firm and cross-sell other specialisms internally and externally
  • Experience attending seminars and networking events, presenting workshops, and participating in pitches/tenders
  • Well-organised, technically proficient and a leader
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience independently managing projects and working across teams
  • Strong organisational skills and good financial hygiene, including accurate time recording, billing discipline and cost awareness
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence to challenge constructively
  • Solutions-focused approach and drive to improve processes and outcomes
  • Strong organisation skills and ownership of tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
