About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide proactive support for business development initiatives
  • Support delivery of growth plans and client engagement activities
  • Own follow-up processes for events and webinars, including timely communication, lead management, and opportunity tracking
  • Advise on invite data selection and audience targeting
  • Support development and progression of event-generated pipelines
  • Maintain accurate records of follow-up actions and outcomes
  • Attend meetings to capture and drive BD-related actions
  • Communicate growth priorities and required tasks to the wider marketing team
  • Create and maintain sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, case studies, and product sheets
  • Ensure sales resources are current and accessible to fee earners
  • Respond to product-related enquiries and escalate complex queries or opportunities to the BD Manager
  • Support pipeline tracking and reporting
  • Assist in preparing monthly BD activity summaries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience creating and maintaining BD collateral such as pitch decks, case studies, credentials, and product sheets
  • Understanding of basic BD processes such as lead follow-up, tracking opportunities, and supporting pipeline activity
  • Confidence using CRM systems; InterAction preferable
  • Ability to update records, log actions, and extract information for reports
  • Ability to capture actions from meetings accurately and ensure they are followed through to completion
  • Comfortable working with data, reviewing simple reports, spotting inconsistencies, and extracting key points for BD Manager updates
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a professional services background or law firm desirable
  • High attention to detail and strong proofreading ability
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to meet agreed deadlines
  • Commercial awareness and results-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and align with the firm’s core values
  • Strong problem-solving skills
