About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide day-to-day support on client accounts and assist with delivery of communications activity
  • Write press releases, stakeholder briefings, website copy, and new business pitches
  • Conduct desk-based research for client accounts and new business pitches
  • Analyse media coverage and political developments
  • Stay abreast of political, business, and social trends
  • Build a network with clients to support organic growth and new business efforts
  • Support client administration, including meeting agendas, minutes, and monthly reports
  • Identify relevant news stories and opportunities
  • Support campaign ideation, planning, and strategic communications
  • Work with data and insights, policy, economics, digital, sustainability, and creative teams
  • Contribute to research papers, briefs, content, and strategic planning
  • Work directly with clients and gain exposure to senior clients and industry experts
  • Develop understanding of the company’s offering and share knowledge and best practices within the team
  • Travel and run events off-site and in different markets as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working in consultancy; in-house experience also considered
  • Experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or reputation campaigns advantageous
  • High-quality research and writing skills
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Understanding of how digital amplifies campaigns
  • Active interest in new social media channels
  • Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects to set deadlines
  • Enthusiasm to learn about behavioural insight for strategic communications campaigns
  • Knowledge of political, business, sustainability/ESG agenda and media
  • Sectoral interest such as energy, transport, financial services, defence, or critical minerals
  • Flexibility to travel and run events off-site and in different markets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • High-quality writing and presentation skills
  • Respectful and works with integrity
  • Intellectual curiosity about current affairs and latest developments in politics, business, and global trends
  • Experience managing own time across multiple projects and priorities
