About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support end-to-end recruitment, including writing and posting job specifications, screening and shortlisting candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing offers
- Build and maintain a consistent onboarding process
- Update, maintain, and roll out HR policies, procedures, and employment contracts with the COO and external advisors
- Own benefits administration and serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day people questions
- Organise internal team events, meetups, and offsites with the Events Coordinator
- Support performance management and feedback processes
- Help maintain compliance with employment regulations across the UK, Ireland, and other EU markets
- Maintain organised and current HR systems, documentation, and employee records
- Identify and address gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in people processes with the COO
- Support day-to-day office and workplace operations
- Support the COO with operational planning, process improvement, and cross-functional projects
- Develop and maintain internal processes, systems, and workflows across people and business operations
- Coordinate travel, company meetings, and other operational requirements
- Work closely with the COO on people decisions and direction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, ideally across more than one jurisdiction
- Ability to create clear, practical systems and processes
- Confidence setting up, maintaining, and improving digital HR systems and tools
- Clear and appropriate communication with people at all levels of the business
- Ability to take direction, use good judgement, and turn decisions into action without constant oversight
- Discretion, trustworthiness, judgement, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
- Preferred: experience in a startup, scale-up, SaaS or technology business
- Preferred: exposure to UK and Irish employment law
- Preferred: experience supporting employees across more than one jurisdiction
- Preferred: experience improving HR systems or processes
- Preferred: experience supporting workplace operations, internal events or wider business administration
- Valid UK Right to Work authorisation
