About the role

Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in journalism, news production, reporting or documentary media
- Proven ability to originate and report stories independently
- Exceptional writing, interviewing and storytelling skills
- Strong news judgment and editorial instincts
- Experience producing fast-moving news content on tight timelines
- Ability to juggle multiple projects without sacrificing quality
- Deep commitment to factual accuracy, fairness and journalistic integrity
- Familiarity with YouTube and digital-first video publishing
- Enthusiasm for early mornings and being part of a daily morning news program
- Experience producing news, public affairs or current events programming (preferred)
- Investigative or enterprise reporting experience (preferred)
- Documentary development or short-form documentary experience (preferred)
- Startup media experience (preferred)
- Video editing skills (preferred)
- Strong source networks across politics, policy, business, technology, culture, science or local communities (preferred)
