About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take ownership of a project for an industrial client focused on the AI-powered analysis and further development of its manufacturing organization
- Conduct a structured digital as-is assessment of processes, organizational structures, roles, systems, and data flows across multiple sites
- Analyze the as-is assessment with AI support
- Evaluate processes and the organization against target operating models and best practices
- Identify differences between plants and derive gaps
- Prioritize gaps based on effort and value
- Validate findings in workshops with the client’s subject-matter experts and executives
- Develop measures and a roadmap for the next project phases
- Manage timelines, budget, risks, and stakeholders
- Provide regular reports to the client’s project leadership and management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in project management or consulting within an industrial environment
- Practical experience in manufacturing or engineering is an advantage
- Experience with KPIs, cost structures, business case evaluations, and reporting
- Ability to systematically capture, evaluate, and compare processes
- Knowledge of digital systems across the industrial value chain, particularly ERP, SCM, PLM, and MES
- Exposure to AI tools for analysis or day-to-day project work is an advantage
- Confident workshop facilitation skills
- Ability to structure complex topics clearly
- Strong communication skills when working with functional departments and management
- Fluent German
- Good command of English
- Willingness to travel for on-site client meetings
