About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review reactive user reports and proactive detection flags in Strava's moderation tool and Intercom
  • Make content and account enforcement decisions under Community Standards, Acceptable Use Policy, and internal policies
  • Own moderation queue targets with the manager and meet SLA expectations
  • Maintain high decision accuracy and consistency across tiered response times
  • Escalate edge cases, novel policy questions, and high-severity incidents to senior team members or Legal
  • Contribute to compliance-driven workflows for the Digital Services Act and Take It Down Act
  • Flag policy gaps, tooling friction, and recurring content patterns
  • Participate in cross-functional efforts with Policy, Legal, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams
  • For the Tue-Sat role, serve as the primary contact for Saturday escalations and time-sensitive regulatory obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in content moderation, online safety, or trust and safety operations in any platform context
  • Comfort regularly reviewing sensitive and graphic content, including harassment, spam, child safety material, and self-harm
  • Strong judgement in applying policy to ambiguous situations
  • Clear, concise communication skills for escalating sensitive issues and flagging patterns
  • Ability to work independently and manage a moderation queue effectively
  • Availability to work on a weekend day, Saturday or Sunday
  • Professional fluency in a second European language is a plus
  • Experience with Intercom or similar ticketing and support platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with content moderation regulatory frameworks such as DSA or GDPR is a plus
  • Willingness to work more than half of the time on-site in the Dublin office, two days per week according to the role description; application form states three days per week on-site
  • Must answer employment visa sponsorship question in application
