About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support application development and data solution implementations for a global client base
Establish and understand customer datasets by working with customer technology and data teams
Build specifications for integration and processes to ensure data integrity
Engage directly with customers to understand business needs and data environments
Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements
Conduct workshops and interviews with client stakeholders to capture use cases and success criteria
Analyze complex customer datasets, schemas, and data flows to assess integration needs
Collaborate with data engineers and developers to design data ingestion, transformation, and mapping processes
Validate data quality, completeness, and alignment with business requirements
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Act as liaison between customers and internal technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
Contribute to solution architecture, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definitions
Define test cases and validate outputs against expected results
Work with the product team to ensure customer data is accurately reflected in analytics outputs
Provide feedback on product improvements based on client needs and data insights
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of integrated data in supporting customer decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years’ experience in a business analyst or data analyst role, with at least 2 years in a technical capacity
Proven experience working on data integration projects (ETL, data pipelines, APIs)
Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data transformation concepts
Relational database experience (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc) strongly preferred
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language and vice versa
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Technical understanding of complex data sets with the ability to interrogate them via SQL and Excel
To be approachable, calm under pressure and authentic
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
Understanding of software architectural concepts
