About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Understand, continue developing, and scale the emerging app architecture
Take technical leadership of the project, including architecture, quality, and technical decision-making
Develop new features and manage the roadmap
Establish sustainable deployment, infrastructure, and hosting processes
Coordinate external developers and later build an in-house tech team
Ensure the product’s long-term technical viability
Work on an EdTech app that helps schools rethink teaching and supports teachers and students with digital planning, structure, and learning processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with NestJS (backend architecture, API design)
Experience with Docker (containerization and deployments)
Experience with Flutter (mobile and web)
Experience publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play Store
Experience configuring hosting for web applications and backends
Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and Backend-as-a-Service
Proficiency in version control, CI/CD, and database design
German at C2 level
Nice to have: Interest in EdTech, a strong sense of UX and product design, analytics experience, gamification expertise, and experience building small tech teams
