About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and edit existing college-level Visual Communications course structure and materials
- Evaluate and adjust recommended updates to course structure
- Review course learning outcomes and competencies for accuracy and alignment with current standards
- Edit skill-oriented course sections and organize topics such as electronic health records, health data management, and healthcare IT systems
- Review and refine response assignment prompts and rubrics
- Evaluate existing multiple-choice questions for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with curriculum designers to create high-quality course deliverables
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree or higher in graphic design, visual communication design, communication studies, rhetoric, media studies, or journalism; OR bachelor's degree in one of these plus a master's in a closely related field; OR bachelor's degree in design plus 3+ years of professional design practice
- Hands-on fluency with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot
- Familiarity with ethical issues and regulation surrounding generative AI
- Experience teaching courses in a college or university setting
- Experience creating, updating, or revising courses at the college or university level
- Master's degree or higher in Applied Philosophy/Ethics, with ability to teach ethical reasoning at an introductory, non-technical college level
- Experience with accessibility standards, copyright, fair use, and AI-generated imagery issues is nice to have
