About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor warehouse inventory and perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods
  • Store, move, organize, and clean materials while counting
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations and search for misclassified inventory
  • Monitor and maintain inventory integrity and FIFO practices
  • Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy
  • Consolidate SAP bin locations and maintain ERP default bins
  • Research inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes
  • Recommend corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies
  • Work with Warehouse and Inventory Control Management to resolve inventory problems promptly
  • Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count or weigh materials
  • Report over/under discrepancies and damaged products
  • Report to the Warehouse department and take daily direction from the Warehouse Foreman
  • Perform general warehouse cleanup and housekeeping in a warehouse/manufacturing environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years’ work experience as a cycle counter (preferred)
  • Inventory control experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Prior warehouse/inventory experience
  • SAP WM/MRP/ERP system (preferred)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, cooperative team member with a personal commitment to excellence
  • Experience working on the shop floor
  • Strong communication, organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Ability to work with scanners, iPods, computers, and similar technology
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word required
  • Proficient with basic math, including conversion to lowest unit of measure and calculating price
  • Ability to read and understand English instructions
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, run, squat, and occasionally lift up to 35–40 lbs
