About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive all delivery trucks
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage and compliance with purchase order specifications
  • Unload delivery trucks and provide receiving signatures
  • Unpack materials to verify quantities
  • Reconcile delivered materials and equipment against purchase orders, packing slips, RMAs, and outsource manufacturing orders
  • Notify appropriate departments of potential problems and process RTV or QA hold entries as needed
  • Mark materials with SATS numbers and applicable job numbers
  • Enter packing slip and purchase order information into the system and generate receipt numbers
  • Move materials from receiving or production areas to bin locations and designated areas
  • Perform put-aways and office deliveries
  • Locate and stock received material using receipt-date inventory rotation
  • Escalate inventory discrepancies to Procurement or the Warehouse Foreman
  • Run daily receipt reports and verify physical counts against packing slips
  • Operate forklifts and electrically powered material-moving devices
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Work under general supervision and report to the Warehouse Supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two years of receiving/ warehouse experience
  • Moderate computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of mechanical parts nomenclature
  • Ability to read and understand English instructions
  • Basic math skills required
  • Conversion of a unit of measure
  • Ability to operate a forklift and/or electrically powered devices needed for moving material and maintain certification
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, talking, and hearing
  • Ability to work in wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat
