About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Function as a Sub-Discipline Lead or Deputy Discipline Lead on small to large Alternative Delivery (AD) projects, responsible for the work of the technical group
  • Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a design team, including organization of manpower and financial accountability
  • Lead other engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth
  • Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses
  • Ensure compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract
  • Prepare material/equipment technical specifications
  • Coordinate subconsultant work as necessary
  • Maintain affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies
  • Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule
  • Assist with other administrative and technical duties
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate
  • Lead small to large Civil projects
  • Support client relations management activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design experience on AD Transportation Projects in the South Region
  • Experience successfully serving as a Discipline Lead, Sub-Discipline Lead, or Deputy Discipline Lead on Projects of varying size and complexity
  • Experience acting as a client liaison
  • Proven track record of delivering Drainage designs for municipalities & DOT’s throughout the South Region
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Accredited degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
  • OpenRoads Designer (ORD) Drainage & other commonly used H&H design software
  • Experience in supervising and hiring staff
  • Must be able to drive a car and have own transportation
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
