Key responsibilities & impact

Lead project controls functions across large-scale aviation programs from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout
Establish and implement project controls governance frameworks, procedures, standards, and best practices
Advise project managers, program executives, clients, and stakeholders on project controls
Develop integrated project controls strategies covering cost, schedule, risk, forecasting, and performance management
Identify and mitigate project risks, opportunities, and performance challenges
Direct project budgets, forecasts, cash flow analyses, cost reports, cost trending, earned value analysis, variance analysis, and estimate-at-completion forecasting
Review contractor payment applications, change orders, estimates, cost proposals, and schedules
Oversee complex CPM schedules using Primavera P6 and related tools
Analyze critical path activities, schedule risks, float consumption, recovery plans, and integrated master schedules
Establish and monitor KPIs and project controls dashboards
Lead risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, risk workshops, risk registers, and change-impact evaluations
Support claims avoidance, dispute resolution, change management, corrective actions, and executive decision-making
Manage relationships with airport authorities, airlines, program management teams, contractors, and design partners
Deliver executive-level reporting and presentations and support governance meetings, briefings, and client reviews
Mentor project controls professionals, schedulers, cost engineers, and analysts
Support recruitment, workforce planning, professional development, proposals, interviews, strategic pursuits, and growth of STV's aviation project controls services
Support implementation of digital project delivery tools and advanced reporting platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
15+ years of progressive project controls experience supporting large capital programs
8+ years of experience managing project controls teams on aviation, transportation, or major infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience supporting complex aviation projects, including airport terminal expansions, airfield and runway improvement programs, baggage handling systems, landside transportation facilities, airline support facilities, and airport modernization programs
Extensive knowledge of Cost Engineering, CPM Scheduling, Risk Management, Change Management, Forecasting, Earned Value Management (EVM), Program Controls Governance, and Performance Reporting
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
