About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Interact regularly with production floor personnel to ensure correct processing of vehicle tracking data
  • Use remote virtual controls to manage vehicle flow throughout SIA
  • Respond to alarms and production changes caused by part shortages, facility downtime, quality concerns, and other events
  • Collaborate with other departments to control vehicle flow and minimize work stoppages or scrap vehicles
  • Plan strategies for production flow conditions and assist with coordinating floor operations and daily production schedules
  • Work with production and engineering to coordinate and execute weekend and shutdown project setups
  • Maintain knowledge of production flow and travel times to recommend schedule changes and overtime
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and correct vehicle tracking data
  • Troubleshoot and repair floor devices, including printers, scanners, and data input terminals
  • Clean and replace floor carrier tags
  • Assist Maintenance and IS Operations with troubleshooting and repairs
  • Gather production issue information from shops and generate daily production condition, progress, and downtime reports
  • Create and maintain Excel or other software tools for daily operations and reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree required
  • 1 or more years of experience
  • Degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mathematics, or related field
  • Ability to use strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and calmly during high-stress events
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair broadcast printers, scanners, and data input terminals
  • Experience creating and maintaining tools in Excel or other software
