About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with Social Services Department staff
  • Assist in providing counseling services to clients and their families as required by educational requirements
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions and group or family sessions under supervision, as scheduled, and document as required
  • Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions and assist with modifying problem behaviors under supervision
  • Assist in individual treatment plans for select client populations
  • Act as a liaison between referral sources and clients
  • Plan aftercare for assigned clients
  • Provide case management duties, ensuring individualized quality care

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related counseling field from an accredited program
  • CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility
  • Must complete documentation regarding client care, treatment, and incidents timely and clearly
  • Counseling services performed under supervision
