About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide 1:1 Mandarin and English support to SLFD Advisors across Canada on large and/or complex cases and competitive situations
  • Facilitate webinars to improve Financial Advisors’ knowledge of products and individual/corporate strategies
  • Participate in proactive outbound programs promoting team services, product enhancements, and marketing initiatives
  • Deliver training programs on advanced concepts and strategies
  • Proactively follow up on submitted business and support key events such as Professional Development Symposiums
  • Collaborate with regional teams, including RVPs, District Directors, and Business Development Consultants/Partners, to support sales growth
  • Quarterback cases from start to finish
  • Liaise between Financial Advisors and Product, Pricing, Underwriting, New Business, and EFPS teams to facilitate smooth business placement
  • Support individual life and health sales goals through complex case and sales strategy support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Expert knowledge of Sun Life Financial and individual life and health insurance products
  • Expert knowledge of sales concepts, strategies, their application, and competitive information
  • Strong understanding of competition and the Canadian insurance and financial environment, including government regulations and tax implications
  • Excellent grasp of sales-support systems and tools, including Illustration systems, Salesforce, SVFA, and MS Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Completion or working towards relevant industry designations (CFP, CLU)
  • Travel required to support Mandarin-speaking advisors across Canada
  • Education in business or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years working with individual insurance products
  • 3–5 years of experience in insurance sales or a sales-supporting role
  • Ability to provide support in Mandarin and English
