About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan with business partners and recommend virtual platforms, audiovisual, and staging solutions
- Rehearse and deliver planned services to ensure seamless event execution
- Operate virtual event platforms, broadcast and video equipment and integrations, multi-channel systems, and video editing capabilities
- Deliver audiovisual services for live in-person, virtual, hybrid, and broadcast corporate meetings and events
- Troubleshoot technical problems and respond to late-breaking customer needs
- Contribute to event reporting, equipment and inventory resourcing, and departmental tasks
- Follow company policies and industry best practices before, during, and after events
- Continuously improve processes while delivering quality results
- Work with technician, Producing, Multimedia, and Operations teams
- Provide occasional support at the Toronto Atria location and virtual event support
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of technical expertise in a corporate event environment producing experiences for online and in-person corporate audiences
- Accomplished event technician with troubleshooting skills under pressure and knowledge of a wide range of media, platforms, and venues
- Experience leading partners, suppliers, and teams to deliver high-quality work
- Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume, and live production environments
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Passion for corporate event experiences and awareness of current trends and techniques
- Knowledge of industry-related equipment, systems, and terminology
- Knowledge of AV and broadcast systems, including video conference hardware and software endpoints, hardware and software video switchers such as Blackmagic ATEMs and vMix, and virtual event platforms
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to adapt to and learn production systems, equipment platforms, and integrations
- Ability to build relationships and negotiate and resolve issues with stakeholders, vendors, staff, and team members
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to maintain effectiveness through change and ambiguity
- Industry certifications are an asset
- Involvement in industry-related associations is an asset
