About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support AV and production service delivery for live in-person, virtual, hybrid, and broadcast corporate meetings and events
  • Guide business partners on technical service selection for events using virtual platforms and internal conference centres
  • Deliver high-quality audiovisual services for on-site and virtual events for business groups and senior leadership teams
  • Operate audio equipment including digital mixers and wireless microphones
  • Operate video equipment including projectors, switchers, video conferencing units, cameras, and various sources
  • Operate studio and theatrical lighting, staging, and rigging
  • Deliver streamed live and recorded virtual events across a wide range of platforms
  • Support hybrid events with simultaneous live and in-person components
  • Plan with business partners and recommend virtual platforms, audiovisual solutions, staging solutions, rehearsals, and event delivery approaches
  • Operate virtual event platforms, broadcast and video equipment and integrations, multi-channel systems, and video editing capabilities
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and late-breaking customer needs
  • Complete event reporting, equipment and inventory resourcing tasks to department standards
  • Follow company policies and industry best practices before, during, and after events
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement
  • Collaborate with technician, Producing, Multimedia, and Operations teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of technical expertise in a corporate event environment, producing experiences for online and in-person corporate audiences
  • Well-accomplished event technician with troubleshooting experience under pressure and knowledge of a wide range of media, platforms, and venues
  • Experience collaborating closely with event planning and multimedia teams
  • Experience leading partners, suppliers, and teams to deliver high-quality work
  • Initiative and confidence in abilities and decision-making
  • Track record in fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume, and live production environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Passion for corporate event experiences and current trends and techniques
  • Knowledge of industry-related equipment, systems, and terminology
  • Knowledge of AV and broadcast systems, including video conference hardware and software endpoints, hardware and software video switchers such as Blackmagic ATEMs and Vmix, and virtual event platforms
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to adapt to and learn a wide range of production systems, equipment, platforms, and integrations
  • Ability to build strong business relationships and negotiate and resolve issues effectively
  • Adaptability, resilience, and comfort with ambiguity
  • Industry certifications are an asset
  • Involvement in industry-related associations is preferred/considered an asset
