About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Account for and report loan assets for institutional investors
- Create daily movement files including accrued interest calculations
- Produce daily and monthly fund trial balances
- Perform detailed valuation and trial balance analysis for pooled funds
- Complete control checks to ensure accurate Net Asset Values are sent to the Fund Administrator
- Complete regular financial reporting to internal business partners
- Update queries and reports to the new SAP General Ledger
- Partner with the Robotic team to identify efficiency opportunities
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Support the investment-related risk and compliance framework for investment-related functions under SLC Management Finance
- Gain data processing, reporting, and audit support experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in an Accounting, Math, Finance or Business program from an accredited University
- Previous co-op work experience is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, is required
- Experience with Excel Power tools, Tableau, or Dashboard tool is an asset
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Quick learner, self-motivated and adaptable
- Flexibility to work 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Potential overtime during monthly and quarterly peak reporting periods
