About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate business goals into analytical problems
  • Identify optimal algorithms, statistical techniques, and GenAI architectures
  • Develop ML and data science products, including GenAI applications, with cross-functional teams
  • Apply descriptive, predictive, and machine learning methods from design through implementation
  • Perform feature engineering, model training, model evaluation, and LLM prompt engineering
  • Design, develop, and deploy GenAI solutions including AI agents, chatbots, and autonomous systems
  • Research and pilot GenAI technologies, RAG techniques, and agentic frameworks
  • Implement AI bots and agents with advanced reasoning and tool-use patterns
  • Use vector databases and embedding models for intelligent information retrieval
  • Break development milestones into actionable goals, activities, and work plans
  • Create and maintain technical design artifacts covering functionality, data models, interfaces, and integrations
  • Engage and negotiate with stakeholders and present business recommendations and findings
  • Champion continuous improvement and foster innovation within the analytics community

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience developing and implementing data science techniques
  • Proficiency in Python for data science and GenAI application development
  • Experience writing complex SQL and PySpark queries
  • Proficiency in supervised and unsupervised machine learning
  • Experience with data transformation, data manipulation, and structured and unstructured data
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development
  • Hands-on expertise with GenAI frameworks and LLM APIs
  • Experience developing AI bots/agents with reasoning and tool-use capabilities
  • Strong understanding of RAG techniques, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, vector databases, and embedding models
  • Experience with chatbot development and conversational AI design
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, changing deadlines, and priorities
  • Proven ability to mentor junior data scientists and data engineers
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Reliability Status Clearance required before employment
  • Must satisfactorily complete applicable background checks
  • Nice to have: AWS services including SageMaker, Lambda, Bedrock, and other AI/ML services
  • Nice to have: Data warehousing, pipelines, and big data technologies including AWS Glue, Glue Catalog, Glue Data Quality, and AWS Step Functions
