About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end coordination and execution of complex investment opportunities
  • Establish governance structures, project plans, and decision-making forums
  • Coordinate investment team inputs on returns, leverage, structures, capital requirements, and funding timelines
  • Liaise across investment teams, business partners, support functions, and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate investment recommendations, business cases, approval materials, memoranda, and presentations
  • Lead local and global tax review coordination for fund investments and strategic transactions
  • Coordinate legal and regulatory reviews of fund documentation, including LPAs, PPMs, and subscription agreements
  • Support KYC/AML and entity documentation requirements
  • Coordinate risk, capital, and governance reviews, including LICAT and local capital considerations
  • Track governance approvals, conditions, and action items through execution and completion
  • Lead operational readiness and onboarding for approved funds and investment mandates
  • Coordinate implementation across Operations, Finance, Investment Operations, Technology, ALM, and external service providers
  • Support execution of private market fund commitments and strategic investment initiatives
  • Maintain and enhance the OCIO investment pipeline and transaction tracking framework
  • Monitor opportunities from sourcing through funding and implementation
  • Prepare executive reporting and governance materials for Corporate ALCO, senior leadership, and decision-making forums

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Law, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in institutional investments, asset management, investment operations, corporate strategy, transaction execution, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of private market investments, including real estate, private credit, and institutional portfolio construction
  • Knowledge of insurance capital frameworks, regulatory requirements, governance processes, and risk management principles
  • Experience partnering across investment, tax, legal, finance, treasury, operational, and risk functions to execute complex initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, influence senior stakeholders, and drive decisions in a complex organizational environment
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and executive communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Demonstrated success coordinating investment transactions, governance reviews, operational onboarding, and executive reporting
  • Ability to address regulatory, tax, capital, and risk considerations appropriately
  • Successful candidates must declare personal investment accounts and securities investments
  • Successful candidates must seek preclearance on future transactions, including those of household members
