About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end monthly close across the US parent and international subsidiaries in Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, and Nepal
- Perform consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and multi-currency revaluation
- Design and operate scalable controls across sales-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles
- Maintain intercompany billing, financing, and cost-allocation flows under the transfer pricing framework
- Partner with external advisors across jurisdictions
- Manage external audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance across entities
- Support cash flow reporting, FX exposure, working capital management, and banking relationships
- Lead long-term business planning, annual budgeting, and rolling forecasts
- Manage and develop the Accounting Manager based in Uruguay
- Direct third-party accounting partners supporting statutory, tax, and payroll work
- Report to the VP of Operations and Finance and partner with executive leadership
- Build the accounting function for a fast-scaling, multi-entity, multi-country services business
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
- Recent experience owning close and consolidation for a multi-entity organization
- Contador Público degree from an accredited university (Universidad de la República or a recognized private university)
- Full professional English, written and spoken
- Hands-on accounting experience in a professional services or technology consulting business
- Experience consolidating multiple legal entities, including intercompany transactions and multi-currency reporting
- Deep command of IFRS, Uruguayan local reporting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Hands-on experience with US GAAP reporting and consolidation
- Proven experience managing external audits and coordinating tax compliance across entities
- Experience managing accounting staff and directing third-party providers or outsourced accounting partners
- Track record of establishing or materially improving accounting processes
- Experience with entities in Argentina or Mexico and a Uruguay subsidiary reporting to a US or foreign parent (preferred)
- Familiarity with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany financing structures (preferred)
- Experience leading or supporting an ERP migration (preferred)
- Working knowledge of purchase price allocation and acquisition integration (preferred)
- Experience building and managing accounting teams across multiple countries (preferred)
