About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Learn how integrated communications—including talent, social, and media relations—drive successful launches and sustain long-term brand equity
  • Build and maintain media lists across entertainment trades, national news, and lifestyle outlets
  • Keep media databases accurate, current, and strategically categorized
  • Monitor news cycles and social media for pop culture moments, competitor updates, and breaking industry news
  • Develop agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, and budget trackers
  • Support client meetings and events through scheduling and RSVP management
  • Occasionally provide on-site staffing for premieres, screenings, and press junkets
  • Greet visitors and manage light office duties, including preparing conference rooms or rooftops for meetings
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for guests and vendors
  • Build trust and integrity in interactions with coworkers, partners, and media

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Roughly 1 year of experience in marketing, entertainment, or PR
  • Clear understanding of the entertainment PR arena
  • Genuine passion for the business of storytelling
  • Emotional maturity and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior staff
  • Strong, fast, persuasive, and detail-oriented writing skills
  • Ability to turn complex notes into concise, clear recaps, pitches, or industry trend reports
  • Exceptional organization and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach
  • Willingness to work select evenings and weekends when projects or events require extra support
