Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in communications, media, public affairs, or a related field
  • Track record of leading complex client relationships, counseling senior leaders, and delivering exceptional work
  • Passion for social issues including community resilience, climate action, and threats facing democracy
  • Understanding of key issues dominating the national news cycle
  • Ability to develop multi-platform narratives bridging grassroots mobilization and high-level policy influence
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Meaningful relationships with reporters, editors, producers, and other influential media voices
  • Understanding of what earns media attention and trust
  • Ability to develop and execute creative ideas
  • Entrepreneurial approach to identifying opportunities and building relationships
  • People leadership and talent development skills
