About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle all aspects of marina operations within budgetary guidelines
- Improve the marina’s guest service level, performance, efficiency, and profitability
- Work collaboratively with the Home Office and colleagues throughout the organization
- Provide leadership and the highest level of customer service
- Project a professional company image in all interactions
- Achieve financial results according to annual operating and capital budgets
- Routinely inspect property areas to ensure above-average appearance and proper safety conditions
- Enforce trash pickup and related property-maintenance tasks
- Comply with government regulations related to marina operations
- Manage governmental reporting and compliance, including weights and measures, OSHA, EPA, and Corps of Engineers requirements
- Ensure customer and employee safety
- Train employees in the safe use of marina equipment and position-related functions, including firefighting equipment and spill containment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Five years previous management experience including direction of employees, accounting and related budgeting activities, inventory control, advertising, and customer relations
- General accounting knowledge and basic understanding of financial statements
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees, customers, tenants, vendors, and government personnel
- Ability to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds
- Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently, and squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
