About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the maturity model, including rubric, scoring method, evidence standard, appeals path, team assessments, and written improvement plans
  • Conduct assessments with department heads and convert them into commitments with named owners and dates
  • Define standards for work tracking, decision proposals and resolution, shared tooling, and documentation retirement
  • Improve decision processes with defined stages, exit criteria, and closing mechanisms
  • Run automated weekly reporting, blockers-and-decisions forums, monthly leadership reviews, and quarterly board-level formats
  • Eliminate meetings that can be replaced by reports
  • Manage private assessment rollouts followed by pre-committed public transparency dates
  • Embed standards into onboarding
  • Hire, develop, review, and direct two senior individual contributors focused on platform and enablement
  • Measure and publish the amount of coordination work absorbed by agents versus the cost of a human program office
  • Build an AI-native internal operating system and enable AI operations across Supabase

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience running operating cadence and program discipline at a company of approximately 200–800 people while remote and async
  • Personally built agentic AI workflows that others depended on
  • Ability to review agent workflow definitions, data models, and pull requests for quality
  • Experience taking a standard from zero to company-wide adoption without direct authority over adopters
  • Exceptional writing and ability to use documents as enforcement mechanisms
  • Comfort being publicly graded by the system built
  • Experience running a maturity model or capability assessment across teams not directly owned
  • Git, Markdown, and pull request proficiency
  • Experience permanently replacing a recurring meeting with an automated system
  • Deep software engineering background is a plus, but not required
