About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the product operating model end to end, including product management practice, delivery engine, and annual roadmap
  • Report to the COO and lead a team of Product Managers embedded in cross-functional pods
  • Hold product pods accountable for measurable customer and business outcomes
  • Partner with the VP of IT, Senior Manager of UX, Director of Enterprise AI Adoption, and business leaders
  • Define pod missions, success metrics, guardrail metrics, decision rights, operating cadence, and shared accountability
  • Resolve cross-pod dependencies, sequencing conflicts, and platform-versus-feature tradeoffs
  • Directly manage, coach, recruit, onboard, and retain Product Managers
  • Build product management capability across discovery and delivery practices
  • Translate company strategy into product strategy, north star metrics, and supporting metric trees
  • Establish product analytics, instrumentation, measurement, and outcome reporting
  • Lead continuous discovery, customer research, usability practices, experimentation, and evidence-based prioritization
  • Manage portfolio allocation across growth, platform health, and exploratory work
  • Build and maintain the annual now/next/later product roadmap
  • Run quarterly planning, including OKR setting, bet selection, capacity modeling, and tradeoff decisions
  • Maintain executive and board alignment on roadmap commitments, bets, and changes
  • Maintain a rigorously prioritized backlog with clear definitions of ready and done
  • Ensure initiatives have scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, decision points, and launch criteria
  • Establish delivery risk management and hold Product Managers accountable for planning, status reporting, and stakeholder alignment
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across Product, IT, UX, AI Enterprise Enablement, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, Customer Service, and other teams
  • Ensure launches include communication, training, operational readiness, adoption planning, feedback mechanisms, and post-launch reviews
  • Improve delivery health using cycle time, throughput, and predictability indicators
  • Partner with IT and engineering leaders on technical strategy, architecture, capacity, security, reliability, scalability, and platform health
  • Ensure product requirements account for system dependencies, integrations, data flows, APIs, and nonfunctional requirements
  • Evaluate build, buy, and partner options based on value, impact, feasibility, risk, cost, and maintainability
  • Balance customer-facing enhancements with platform modernization, technical debt reduction, reliability, and foundational capabilities
  • Partner with AI Enterprise Enablement to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and roadmap AI opportunities
  • Ensure AI product decisions consider usability, data quality, security, responsible use, feasibility, and performance
  • Distinguish AI experimentation from scalable production capabilities and promote reuse of enterprise AI capabilities
  • Establish analytics and reporting to evaluate product adoption, customer behavior, operational impact, and business results

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in product management, including 4 or more years directly managing Product Managers
  • Experience managing managers is a plus
  • Track record of owning a business metric and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Technical fluency across e-commerce platforms, APIs, integrations, data flows, enterprise systems, and platform dependencies
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs involving Product, Engineering, UX, Data, and business stakeholders
  • Experience operating in a pod, squad, or cross-functional team model and establishing clear decision rights and shared accountability
  • Strong understanding of user research, experience design, analytics, experimentation, and product adoption
  • Experience evaluating and scaling AI-enabled products or emerging technology capabilities preferred
  • Experience balancing customer-facing investments with platform health, technical debt, security, reliability, and scalability
  • Strong product delivery and program leadership from discovery through launch and adoption
  • Ability to introduce product and delivery discipline without unnecessary process or slowing execution
  • Executive communication skills and ability to defend tradeoffs with evidence
  • Comfort with ambiguity and bias toward shipping and learning
  • E-commerce, marketplace, or B2B distribution experience preferred
  • Familiarity with trade or industrial customers is a plus
  • Currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; SupplyHouse.com will not sponsor work visas
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with time zone flexibility
