About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and ship features in the Ruby on Rails app, from database to screen
Own imports and integrations bringing trades from brokers and platforms
Build AI features that help traders understand their trading, including evaluation tests
Share production responsibilities including releases, monitoring, and fixing issues
Help shape tools, tests, and workflows for a small AI-first team
Learn the codebase and ship initial fixes within the first two weeks
Deploy, roll back, and fix the app independently
Improve the reliability of a key trade import
Take a customer-facing feature from idea to release
Report to the GM and collaborate with the other senior engineer and two engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years building and running production apps with Ruby on Rails
Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
Comfort owning a feature end to end, including when it breaks
Daily use of AI coding tools, and the habit of checking their work
Strong written communication skills
Experience building with AI models
At least four hours a day overlapping Brasília time (UTC−3)
Legally able to work in Canada without sponsorship
Experience building iOS apps in Swift is a plus
An interest in trading or markets is a plus
Comfortable with a 90-minute live exercise using usual AI tools on a shared screen
