About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, request, and collect data from internal systems, hospital partners, external vendors, and third-party sources
  • Validate, clean, and prepare datasets for analysis
  • Partner with IT, Clinical Operations, Finance, and Business Development to centralize dataflows and establish reliable data pipelines
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and visuals
  • Develop presentation-ready reports for leadership meetings, board discussions, client performance reviews, and program updates
  • Summarize findings through narratives, charts, tables, and visual storytelling
  • Recommend visualization methods, layout, sequencing, and report design based on SAMGI branding and data best practices
  • Perform initial analysis and sanity checks on reports
  • Identify trends, outliers, and areas of concern requiring attention or escalation
  • Reconcile reports against source systems or historical reporting
  • Ensure consistency with SAMGI definitions, metrics, and accepted methodologies
  • Collaborate with Operations, Clinical Leadership, Finance, Recruitment, and Business Development on reporting requirements
  • Support program launches, performance reviews, audits, and strategic planning meetings with accurate insights
  • Prepare slide decks, supporting documents, and talking points for presenters
  • Advise internal teams on metrics, data interpretation, and visual design
  • Understand data lifecycles, transformations, and business logic
  • Recommend improvements to dataflows, reliability, automation, and scalability
  • Apply storytelling principles to communicate the reasoning behind data
  • Meet with stakeholders to identify reporting needs
  • Translate stakeholder needs into reporting requirements, metrics, and deliverables
  • Develop and manage a master reporting calendar
  • Coordinate report preparation and delivery against deadlines
  • Anticipate reporting needs based on program cadence, contract requirements, and leadership priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or data visualization
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and visualization design
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, including slide design, sequencing, and professional presentation formatting
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI preferred
  • Ability to understand medical terminology, healthcare operations, and business metrics
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • May require extended hours during reporting cycles, board meeting preparation, or program launches
