Key responsibilities & impact
  • Relay timely and accurate credentialing reports and compliance status updates to management
  • Develop credentialing strategies based on data analysis, regulatory requirements, and operational observations
  • Oversee and manage credentialing quality and compliance standards
  • Guarantee provider satisfaction and regulatory adherence
  • Provide coaching and feedback to credentialing staff
  • Establish and maintain communication with providers, payers, and internal stakeholders
  • Understand credentialing needs and resolve verification issues
  • Monitor credentialing workflows and application queues against defined timelines and targets
  • Report delays or compliance gaps and take necessary action
  • Perform root cause analysis on credentialing defects and implement corrective actions
  • Drive credentialing turnaround-time improvement initiatives
  • Meet regulatory and payer requirements
  • Meet credential maintenance and renewal goals
  • Participate in staff development and continuous process improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate/post-graduate with CPC/COC/CCS/CCS-P Certification by AAPC/AHIMA
  • Minimum 6-7 years with hands-on medical coding & credentialing
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role managing a team of credentialing specialists
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to adjust quickly and smoothly to changing priorities and conditions
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make suggestions for improvements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive in developing trust and professional rapport with employees and team members
  • Team-player mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, constructive, and professional manner
