About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients calling about self-pay and out-of-pocket medical balances
  • Deliver high-quality customer service
  • Resolve financial accounts using approved guidelines
  • Adhere to speed and accuracy metrics
  • Understand payer contracts, rules and regulations
  • Apply insurance eligibility requirements and insurance billing priority
  • Review claim denials, rejections and underpayments
  • Communicate issues and offer suggestions to Management for process improvements
  • Understand and apply federal and state rules and regulations, including HIPAA, PCI Compliance regulations, and PII/PHI Security

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED required; College preferred
  • Hospital or Healthcare (US) knowledge/experience preferred
  • Contact or Call Center experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills required
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Minimum typing skills 60 words per minute with the ability to talk and type
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ work-related experience
  • SMS Invision, I-series, Meditech, Epic experience a plus
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • Eligible to work in the USA
