About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop and implement nursing care plans and patient education
- Perform ongoing evaluation of patient care
- Deliver holistic and individualized care to patients in the assigned area
- Develop, implement, and coordinate an interdisciplinary plan of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
- Foster collaborative relationships among patients, families/support groups, physicians, and other healthcare providers
- Communicate timely and effectively with patients and care teams
- Adhere to policies, industry standards, best practices, applicable laws, regulations, and codes
- Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- 2 years recent relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and competence with nursing theories, concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations
- Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Electronic Health Record
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
- Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
- Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI)
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
