About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families using comprehensive assessment, nursing care planning, implementation, patient education, and ongoing evaluation
- Deliver holistic and individualized care to patients in the assigned area
- Develop, implement, and coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
- Foster collaborative relationships among patients, families/support groups, physicians, and healthcare providers through timely and effective communication
- Adhere to policies, industry standards, best practices, applicable laws, regulations, and codes
- Promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience
- Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice
- Travel as required by the position
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- 2 years recent relevant experience
- Neurology or Neurosurgery experience highly recommended
- Demonstrated knowledge and competence regarding nursing theories, concepts and practices, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, patient-care best practices and privacy, and local/state/federal regulations
- Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Outlook, and Electronic Health Record
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while accomplishing multiple tasks in an interruption-prone environment
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established solutions
- Ability to ensure patient protected health information privacy
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers
- Ability to travel for this position
