About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures
  • Produce quality CT images for physicians and healthcare providers to support diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention
  • Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
  • Deliver accurate results in a timely manner
  • Assess patients and provide attentive monitoring
  • Gain patient, family, support-group, and healthcare-provider confidence and cooperation through effective communication
  • Follow local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
  • Protect patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
  • Perform specific procedures as assigned
  • Help orient other staff to the department as needed
  • Float between multiple sites in the Greater Sacramento Area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist Program provided prior to start date
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist from the state where work is being performed, provided prior to start date
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate
  • General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies
  • Ability to perform routine CT examinations
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an environment with interruptions
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
  • Ability to ensure patient privacy and protect PHI
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers
  • Ability to travel within and around the Greater Sacramento Area, including Auburn, Elk Grove, Roseville, Folsom, Carmichael, and Yuba City
